BAGNI DI SAN FILIPPO
The initial destination was the Saturnia hot springs. The problem was that other than just bathing in the springs we also needed a good enough place to park the car and sleep in it, preferably in the shade. Saturnia didn't seem like the most "squat-friendly" place, so we stubbornly (and blindly) continued our search until……. the Bagni di San Filippo. They are like the nice and modest stepsister no one really pays much attention to. It's ideal, nothing in sight but a mountain of sulfur scattered with personal size tanks dug out by the current filled with hot thermal water; a must during the scorching summer heat. Obviously.
