ON THE ROAD: PART I, HATCH CEMETERY

It is only fitting that the first post regarding the coast to coast journey is of the first cemetery we stumbled upon. "Stop the car!!!" I exclaimed, nearly giving my poor travel companion a heart attack, he thought something serious might have happened. It did, we had just passed our first tiny, non descript, anonymous and absolutely lovely cemetery. He didn't seem to share my excitement for spotting the resting place of such notable persons as….. well, no one. Either way, I made him make a U turn on Highway 89 and go back, this is the kind of stuff we were taking the trip for, but I don't think he was fully aware of this by this point.

Hatch cemetery is an unlikely stop for anyone (unless you live in Hatch I assume) as it sits between Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon, must see locations for nature lovers and tourists everywhere, but you won't read about those here.
