ON THE ROAD PART III: CADILLAC RANCH

"It's twelve upright cars buried halfway into the ground, we can't fucking miss them!" I thought. I was obviously wrong, I hadn't been on the Old Route 66 before (also know as the most confusing route in history). This was one of the only 'attractions' I had managed to look up before leaving for the trip, literally googling 'weirdest roadside attractions in US'; but the navigation of course could not recognize the point of interest 'Cadillac Ranch', so the hunting began. Riding around anonymous farmlands outside of Amarillo, Texas, we knew we were getting close, but kept getting stuck in one way streets that just took us further and further away. Finally, I got on what I thought might have been another one way street, but whatever, we needed to get there, so I kept my fingers crossed that no cops would spot us. As the terrifying thought of possibly getting pulled over by a Texas cop with a California license plate crossed my mind, I saw the Cadillacs. You could actually see them from the road, just like I had thought/hoped, we just hadn't realized we already were on Route 66 when the search started.
