ON THE ROAD PART V: GROOM CEMETERY

This random stop is between Amarillo, Texas and Oklahoma City, off what remains of the old Route 66, the legendary road which by this time I was slightly disillusioned by (like I have said before, it is the most confusing route in American history, and partly non existent anymore). Prompted by an ordinary sign which read 'cemetery' pointing to a long, deserted, Texas farm road, I took a quick right… I don't know that if my friend would have been at the wheel he would have felt as compelled and excited to visit yet another unexceptional cemetery in a town which we didn't remember the name of. I assured him it must be good, because, you know, I am an expert in random and small Texan cemeteries… Either way, a cemetery is always worth a visit!
